Cāj (pronounced Cage) is a multidisciplinary artist and creative entrepreneur based in Washington, D.C., whose work explores the tension between individual consciousness and collective culture. Through an urban contemporary lens rooted in surrealism and symbolism, her practice invites viewers to question inherited narratives, reconnect with their inner truth, and imagine a more intentional way of living.

At the core of her work is the belief that many of us move through life confined by invisible systems—expectations of success, identity, productivity, and worth that shape how we see ourselves and the world. Artistic Practice

With over a decade of artistic practice, Cāj works across graphite, charcoal, ink, and oil paint, creating monochromatic portraiture and layered symbolic compositions. Each piece functions as both mirror and invitation—encouraging stillness, reflection, and reinterpretation of self and society.
